One-year anniversary of Poppy’s death

Poppy being so cool as always

It’s the one-year anniversary of your death and I’ve been thinking of you all week.

You taught me well so many things.

You taught me to take action, to do things now, that really we only have now.

You taught me who my real friends are and who was only around just for the laughs.

But the most important thing, you taught me   how to die.

Every time I think about each ceremony that you organised, surrounded by friends and family, giving us all the chance to tell you how much you meant to us. I’ve never seen anything like this before. Always the opposite, I saw close doors in front of an illness.

I saw distance in adversity.

But this was completely the opposite.

You invited us all on your journey, Poppy, you showed us the pretty and the most ugly. You let us in on your path. Warmly, honest, brutal.

It was beautiful and devastating, but then life is. 🤷🏻‍♀️

To the very end, dancing, drawing, writing, creating like a true warrior, a great magic spirit, a talented artist.

I’m in awe of you still now. I still can’t believe you couldn’t stay a bit longer.

So unfair.

You were so loved

So respected.

You meant so much for so many people.

The world has a big hole.

My world has a big hole without you.

I miss you, so much.

Mi Amiga mágica. ✨
